Junior School Teacher Position at Internationella Engelska Skolan Västerås

Internationella Engelska Skolan (IES) is Sweden's largest free school organization, with schools located throughout the country. We offer a bilingual education in both Swedish and English, creating a dynamic, international environment for students and staff alike.

 

Position Available: Junior School Teacher (Grade 4 English and Mathematics)

 

We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic teacher to join our Junior School team. This role includes teaching across multiple subjects and mentoring a class of approximately 16 students. This is a fixed term position at this stage from October 2024 until June 2026 (maternity leave).

 

Requirements:

  • Lärarlegitimation or equivalent international teaching certification
  • Bachelor’s degree and teaching qualification
  • Proficiency in both Swedish and English (Native English proficiency preferred)
  • Experience with or knowledge of the Swedish national curriculum
  • Passion for teaching and ability to engage and inspire young learners in and out of the classroom
